7 on 7 Flag Football Plays

7 on 7 flag football gives the offense two more players than 5 on 5, and that changes the playbook. With five receivers plus a back, you can put three receivers on one side, stretch the defense with four deep routes, and still keep a check-down. These plays are built for 10U through 14U teams and high school girls' flag.

Coaching tips for 7 on 7

• Rules vary more in 7 on 7 than in 5 on 5. Check whether your league allows a rusher, how far back the rusher starts, and whether the QB can run.
• Use the extra players to stretch the field wide first. Most 7 on 7 defenses leave space on the side with fewer defenders.
• Pair every deep concept with a short outlet for the back or center, so the QB always has somewhere to go against a fast rush.
• Run two or three concepts from the same formation. Defenses cannot guess the play from how you line up.
